저는 마늘 짜개로 생마늘을 3개 정도 으깨어 넣었는데, 국물의 깊은 맛이 배가 되어 훨씬 훌륭한 맛을 느낄 수 있었습니다.

사이드로 주문한 감자고로케와 교자 역시 라멘에 곁들이기 좋은 준수한 맛이었습니다. 점심시간 한정으로 2,000원에 판매하는 테라 점심 맥주도 곁들였는데, 비록 생맥주가 아닌 작은 맥주잔에 나오는 일반 맥주였지만 진한 라멘 국물과의 궁합이 환상적이었습니다.

Today, I would like to share my lunch review of a newly opened, cozy, and clean Japanese ramen shop called 'Koi Ramen', located on the 2nd floor of Le Meilleur Town in Jongno.

1. Location and Atmosphere

   The restaurant is situated on the 2nd floor of Le Meilleur Town. The interior does not have face-to-face tables; instead, it features a long bar-style seating arrangement. This makes it highly suitable for eating comfortably alone or sitting side-by-side with a companion for a quiet conversation.

2. Menu and Price Information
   Looking at the menu, the signature  Original Ramen is reasonably priced at 10,500 won.
We ordered the Original Ramen, Jiro Ramen, Potato Croquettes, Gyoza (dumplings), and a lunch beer. Also, bowls of rice are provided for free if you want a heavier meal.

3. Taste Evaluation and Tips
  A friend who frequently travels to Japan mentioned that authentic local ramen can sometimes be too salty. However, the Original Ramen here has a very clean and mild broth that perfectly suits Korean tastes.
For a better experience, try using the fresh garlic, sesame seeds, and black pepper available on the table. I crushed about three cloves of garlic into my broth, and it incredibly deepened the flavor. I highly recommend doing this!

The side dishes we ordered, the potato croquettes and gyoza, were also quite good and paired nicely with the ramen. We also ordered a Tera lunch beer, which is sold for just 2,000 won during lunchtime. Although it was just regular beer in a small glass rather than draft beer, it paired perfectly with the rich ramen broth.


Conclusion

If you are looking for a neat and mild bowl of Japanese ramen in the Gwanghwamun or Jongno area, especially if you are dining alone, I highly recommend visiting this place.
