Over the weekend, I visited the Costco Yangpyeong branch in Seoul to stock up on groceries and essential items. For those who prefer a less crowded shopping experience, I am sharing my "open run" (arriving exactly at opening time) review along with a list of highly recommended products.

Crowd Level: There was already a waiting line before the doors opened, proving its immense popularity.

Pro Tip: Based on my family's personal consensus, the Tteokbokki at the food court and the Cheese Cake here taste significantly better than at other branches like Ilsan or Anyang.
Sunday Morning 10 AM: The Costco Open Run Experience
To avoid the notorious weekend afternoon crowds, I decided to visit the store early Sunday morning. I arrived slightly before the 10:00 AM opening time, thinking it would be quiet. To my surprise, there was already a long line of people waiting to get in. If you plan to visit on a weekend, expect some level of a crowd even if you arrive early.

After finishing our shopping, we grabbed some Tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) and snacks at the food court. Having visited multiple Costco locations, including Ilsan and Anyang, my family universally
agreed on one thing: the Tteokbokki and the Souffle Cheese Cake at the Yangpyeong branch somehow taste the absolute best. If you visit the Yangpyeong branch, I highly recommend trying the Tteokbokki after your shopping!
